Integrated Aeronautical Information Database is the core component of ADL's AIM suite of services. All the products in the suite are derived from this database.
The data is stored in 8 different compartments according to its type. ADL's document repository contains all the SOPs, legislation and other guidance material that needs to be published using different products for use by the end user.
The database uses its intelligence to store the data in respective compartments and also delivers the same when asked for a particular product. When the information is altered / changed in any of the product, the revised data values are stored in the database without wiping out the old data.
e.g.: When one requires to publish AIP; the required data set along with relevant documents is pulled out from the IAIDb and delivered as AIP in html, xml and pdf formats.
When it is required to get eTOD as an output; the corresponding data set is pulled out from IAIDb and delivered as eTOD. When one requests for publication of AIXM; data set required is pulled out from IAIDb and delivered as AIXM.
This feature of ADLs IAIDb facilitates customized solution to the user requirements with ability to extend more services if required at later stage.
Database itself generates newer versions of data set based on time stamps ensuring the user that only latest data will be published and Aeronautical Data Quality is maintained.
ADL-IAIDb has capabilities to meet the requirement of System Wide Information Management (SWIM). Dynamic nature of IAIDb ensures compatibility with changing requirements for Data Traceability and Integrity as per ICAO regulations.
